Neurodevelopmental assessment involves personal information about health, development, family life, education and sometimes mental health. 101 Clinic is committed to handling this information responsibly and explaining how it is used.
Consent
Patients should understand the purpose of the assessment, the information being gathered and who may receive the resulting report. For children and young people, consent and involvement are managed according to age, capacity and the relevant legal and clinical requirements.
Confidentiality
Clinical information is treated as confidential, subject to legal and professional obligations. There are circumstances in which information may need to be shared to protect a person or others from serious harm, or where disclosure is otherwise required by law.
Safeguarding
If a clinician identifies a safeguarding concern, the clinic follows appropriate procedures. Safeguarding responsibility is part of clinical care, not an optional extra.

Emergencies
101 Clinic’s routine assessment and enquiry services are not emergency services. Anyone facing an immediate medical or mental-health emergency should use the appropriate urgent NHS or emergency route.
