How we assess children and young people
Child assessments are carried out in line with NICE guidance and involve parents or carers, and usually information from your child’s school. The clinician will look at development, behaviour across different settings, and other possible explanations, so that the outcome is accurate and useful.
You will receive a written report that can be shared with your GP and your child’s school to support next steps.
