Before booking an assessment, you should understand what you are paying for. 101 Clinic aims to make its fees and pathway inclusions transparent.
Our current assessment options may include ADHD, autism and combined ADHD-and-autism pathways for adults and children. Prices can differ according to the pathway, age, clinical complexity and what is included.

For each bookable assessment, we will clearly show:
- The current fee.
- What pre-assessment work is included.
- The clinical appointment(s) included.
- Whether informant or school information is required.
- Whether a written report is included.
- Whether a feedback appointment is included.
- Any services that are charged separately.
- Available payment arrangements, where offered.
Assessment fees and treatment fees are not necessarily the same thing. For ADHD, medication assessment, prescribing, titration, monitoring or other treatment services may be separate from the diagnostic assessment. We will explain this before you enter a treatment pathway.

What affects the price of an assessment?
Assessment prices reflect the clinical time and information needed to reach a reliable conclusion. An autism assessment usually involves more detailed developmental history and structured assessment than an ADHD assessment, and a combined assessment brings both together. Child assessments involve gathering information from parents or carers and, where relevant, school, which takes additional clinical time.
Comparing assessment providers
When comparing prices, check what each provider includes. A lower headline price may not include a written report, a feedback appointment or information from school, and some providers charge separately for things that others include.
Questions to ask any provider
- Is a written report included?
- Is there a feedback appointment?
- Who carries out the assessment, and what are their qualifications?
- Does the assessment follow NICE guidance?
- Are medication appointments included or separate?
- Is the provider registered with the Care Quality Commission?
Frequently asked questions
Is the £195 initial consultation refundable?
If you go ahead with a full ADHD assessment, the £195 is deducted from the total price. If you decide not to continue, there is no obligation to book anything else, but the consultation fee covers the appointment you have had and is not refunded.
Do you offer payment plans?

Will my private health insurance cover an assessment?
Some insurers cover ADHD or autism assessments. Please check with your insurer before booking.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. If an extra appointment is clinically needed, we will tell you the cost before booking it. ADHD medication appointments are separate from assessment fees, and the cost of any medicine is separate.
Can I get an NHS-funded assessment at 101 Clinic?
101 Clinic is a private provider. You pay us directly and do not need a GP referral. Read about NHS and Right to Choose routes.
